Golfweek Tabs Kim as No. 1 College Golfer

NORMAN, Okla. -- Golfweek magazine has rated Oklahoma junior Anthony Kim the No. 1 collegiate golfer in the country in its college preview issue.

Kim is a two-time All-American who won two tournaments in 2004-2005, including the Big 12 Championship.  He also earned medalist honors at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship and was a match play semifinalist.  Kim also advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur and helped the United States to its first Walker Cup victory in eight years.  He was also selected as the United States' male representative in the Spirit International Amateur Championship, a tournament featuring the top male and female amateur golfers from 24 countries.

Golfweek is the leading publication covering college golf.  The magazine also sponsors the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. 

Kim ended the 2005 season No. 7 in the Golfweek rankings.
