2006 NCAA Tournament Tickets On Sale Thursday
March 23, 2005 | Men's Basketball
DALLAS Tickets for the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball First- and Second-Rounds, March 17 and 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, go on sale Thursday, March 24 at 10 a.m.
Tickets can be ordered in person at the AAC south box office or online at www.big12sports.com, and are priced at $150 each for the six-game, three-session tournament. An $8 service charge per ticket applies to online orders. There is a limit of eight tickets per order.
A lottery system will be used if ticket orders exceed available seating. If not, seat locations for orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in early May.
The 2006 event will mark the second time in five years Dallas has played host to the first- and second-rounds of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. In 2001 the NCAA implemented a pod system for first- and second-round sites in an effort to keep teams within their geographic footprint.
Oklahoma participated in the first and second rounds in Dallas in 2002. The No. 2 seed Sooners beat Illinois-Chicago and Xavier en route to a Final Four appearance.
