NORMAN, Okla. The 53rd-ranked Oklahoma men's tennis team continues regional action this week against No. 20 Arkansas on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center in Fayetteville, Ark., at 5 p.m.
The Sooners are sporting a flawless record of 5-0 while the Razorbacks are 2-0 on the season. The series record between the two teams during head coach Paul Lockwood's 17-year tenure is short. The teams have only met once, in 1992 when OU lost to Arkansas, 5-3.
After moving up 13 spots in the latest ITA rankings, the Sooners will look for another win over a ranked opponent.
“We're excited and ready to play a tough team like Arkansas. We know it will be a great crowd, with a lot of noise. Our players have been working hard and playing well. We look forward to the challenge of playing the Razorbacks,” said Lockwood.
