Oklahoma's Drew Lavender caught an inbounds pass from Terrell Everett with 4.5 seconds remaining and raced the length of the court to hit a five-foot, left-handed bank shot in traffic as time expired at Kansas State on Saturday. The shot gave the Sooners a thrilling 69-68 win.
The 5-7 Lavender finished with a season-high 29 points on 11-for-15 field goal shooting. He canned a career-high-tying six 3-pointers on nine attempts.
OU has won its last three games at Kansas State by a comined four points.
The Sooners, 19-6 overall and 8-4 in the Big 12, host Kansas on Monday at 8 p.m. at Lloyd Noble Center.
