BOULDER, Colo. -- Sophomore Leah Rush led four players in double digits with a team-high 19 points as the Oklahoma women's basketball team defeated Colorado, 77-61, inside the Coors Events Center in Boulder Wednesday. With the Big 12 road victory, the Sooners improved to 14-9 overall and 6-6 in league play, while CU dropped to 8-15 and 1-11.
Oklahoma used sharp shooting in both halves to secure the win as OU shot better than 50 percent from the field for the third time this season. The Sooners connected on 31 of 58 shots, for a 53.4 percent accuracy. OU also nailed 40 percent from the arc, hitting eight treys; four in each half.
Junior Laura Andrews continued to have the hot hand, hitting 3 of 6 threes and 6 of 10 shots overall, tying a season-high 15 points. Sophomore Erin Higgins had 11 points, including a critical three-pointer to put the game away at the 3:11 mark.

Senior All-American Dionnah Jackson was perfect on the night hitting all five attempted shots, including a four-point play in the first half. Jackson also had six assists and five rebounds in just 25 minutes of play.
Providing the team valuable minutes off the bench were junior Beky Preston and Antoinette Wadsworth. Preston grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, followed by Wadsworth's seven boards.
Oklahoma struggled from the free throw line with a 7-of-13 performance. OU also had 19 turnovers to Colorado's 21. For the second straight game, the Sooners were outrebounded, 37-34.
Colorado was led by Jackie McFarland's game-high 23 points and seven rebounds. Veronica Johns-Richardson added 11 points.
OU started and ended the game on a pair of threes and with solid offensive excision.
Oklahoma held a 38-30 advantage at intermission. However, Colorado cut the lead to one point, 40-39, with 15:58 to play but OU out scored the Buffs 34-19 for the win.
