NORMAN, Okla. -- The first set of NCAA stats were announced Tuesday afternoon and the Oklahoma women's basketball team appears a number of times.
Of note is freshman Courtney Paris' 22 rebound effort against UCLA on Monday, which is tied (Monique Blake, Seton Hall) for the highest single game total in Division I this season. The California native added 24 points in leading the Sooners to a 83-78 win over No. 22 UCLA at the Lloyd Noble Center last night.
Paris, who has already claimed two Big 12 Rookie of the Week awards, is among the Big 12's best as well. She is in the top five of six statistical categories, while leading the conference in rebounding (13.1 RPG) and blocks (3.22 BPG).
