Great Hoops Seats Still Available

NORMAN, Okla. - As fans anticipate an exciting season for the No. 6 ranked Oklahoma men's basketball team, season tickets have been a hot commodity. Kelvin Sampson's Sooners open the regular season this Saturday (Nov. 19) versus Samford, but it's still not too late to purchase season tickets.

Fans will be happy to know the OU Athletics Department has frozen season ticket prices, meaning tickets remain at last season's rates. Season ticket holders already enjoy a significant discount off the regular adult single-game admission price (packages begin at $225). OU faculty and staff receive a 20 percent discount off the regular adult single-game admission price.

The enthusiasm is evident on campus, as well, with OU student season ticket sales up by more than 40 percent from last year. This season, a portion of the student section has been moved to new mid-court, floor areas. The move was in response to student requests to be closer to the action and to help enhance the home court advantage.

Ticket Information

Great ticket packages also exist for fans unable to commit to full season packages. Mini season ticket packages are available for just $99. The mini packages consist of tickets to six home games, including four Big 12 contests. The "Boomer" mini season ticket package includes games versus Coppin State, Oral Roberts, Missouri, Texas, Iowa State and Kansas State. The "Sooner" package includes the Southern, Alabama, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor and Oklahoma State games.

For fans looking for a single-game package, one of the best deals around is the "Family Pack." Back by popular demand, the "Family Pack" includes a game ticket, a hot dog, a drink and a coupon for an OU T-shirt (redeemable at OU Authentic) for only $10. A minimum of four tickets must be purchased for a game and must be done prior to game day. "Family Packs" will be offered for all non-conference home games.

Ticket prices for individual non-conference games range from $10 to $30, depending on the game and on seat location.

Group tickets are also available for select games when purchasing tickets for 10 or more people. Prices begin as low as $10 per ticket. For group ticket information, fans should call 405-325-5482.
