Cross Country Takes Road Trip to Little Rock

Women's Cross Country Ends Regular Season

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. The University of Oklahoma women's cross country team finished 23rd out of 38 teams at the Chile Pepper Invitational Saturday morning.

Junior Aja Clark led the Sooners with a 79th-place individual finish. Clark completed the 6K distance in 22 minutes, 55.5 seconds.

Oklahoma State claimed the team title with 64 points over host Arkansas (71) and Baylor (82).

Oklahoma totaled 629 points.

Miriam Kaumba won the race in 19:36.5, 41 seconds quicker than second place Desiraye Osburn of Wichita State.

The women return to action next Friday, Oct. 28, for the Big 12 Championships in Waco, Texas.
