Today was the first day back from what seemed like the longest break ever. Not that I'm complaining, it was great! I enjoyed not having anything to do but practice and play Grand Theft Auto until my hands started to cramp. I must say I absolutely love that game. I'm actually not much of a video game player myself, but this game is so ridiculous and perverse that I experienced hours of enjoyment and unrestrained laughter. I can't say I recommend it. However, I'm ready to get back into the grind and start actually being productive.
We had a great break as a team. Even though we have two Big 12 losses, we are playing great and remain optimistic. Conference is so long and so intense that you really don't have time to sit back and pout. We had the lead in both of the away games we lost and we controlled the things we could and worked around the things/people we couldn't (if you catch my drift).
We are ready for some home games with our own fans who want to hear about the Orange Bowl about as much or less than we do. Seems like every where we go the fans want to talk about football. Just a reminder, we don't play football! Besides that, Baylor has no room to criticize anyone. I could cut three of my fingers off and still be able to count on one hand how many wins they had this season. Enough about that!
Now that a new semester has started, I usually try to look nice for class. This lasts a total of about three days, or until I figure out there aren't any cute boys in my class (so about 3 days).
So, I dressed nicely for my new classes and was super early and completely prepared and ready to go. I sat down for my chemistry lecture which has over 300 students in it and is literally overflowing. My seat was in the smack-dab middle of the lecture hall. The class quickly began to fill. I started to notice that nearly every seat was taken, except five seats to the right of me and five seats to the left of me.
I got kind of worried and gave my armpits a discrete sniff. Completely Dove fresh! So, I've decided that either I have the “look of death” and I'm the scariest person ever, or I'm that “weird old lady” that all the freshmen think is really strange. Nearly every kid in my class is a freshman. I don't know what I was doing for the last two years, but I sure wasn't taking chemistry.
Well, that's it for now. I've got some homework to do. I hope to see you all at the game, all five of you that read this (not including our trainer, Wendy, or my parents).
Until next time,
