NORMAN, Okla.   The Oklahoma women's cross country team is ranked No. 1 in the latest WICCCA Midwest Region Rankings.

The Sooners moved past Missouri to take the No. 1 spot and are followed by Oklahoma State, Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, Wichita State, Nebraska, Southwest Missouri State, Iowa and Loyola.

The regional poll is compiled by representatives of the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association.

The OU women also moved up in the second FinishLynx/NCAA National Poll to 27th despite not competing last weekend.
