In the men's 8k race, sophomore Jason Coleman (Watonga, Okla.) finished in the top 10 again with a career-best run of 24:58.38, leading the men to a fourth-place overall finish.
Eldridge's time is the fourth fastest women's 5k mark in school history. It was also the first time the Sooner women had ever won in a field greater than 12 teams.
“The women had a great finish,” OU head coach Rodney Rothoff said, “and I was very pleased with the fourth-place run by the men. Jessica took off from where she left in track.”

“The teams at this race were very competitive,” Rothoff said. “Today's effort definitely puts us one step closer to the goals we set for ourselves.”
Maye scored her fifth-career top-10 with a ninth-place run out of 216 competitors.
Dubois, who finished 32nd, also broke her personal record by two minutes with an incredible effort to keep her team in the lead.
“Jackie was incredible,” Rothoff said. “I think she really proved something today.”
Former Jenks High School teammates, sophomore Andrea Bonner (Tulsa, Okla.) and junior Julie Swagerty (Tulsa, Okla.), finished 61st and 64th, respectively. Senior Emily Leonard (

“The men ran much better than they did at the last meet,” Rothoff said. “However, we still need to work on staying together as a group.”

“It was a very fast race in fairly warm conditions,” Rothoff said.
Sophomore Salah Hussein (
The times for Culp (25:27), Penland (26:07), Grona (26:49) are personal records. It is the second consecutive race that these three have set career-best marks.
