Sooners Ink New Agreement With KAUT UPN Channel 43

NORMAN, Okla. -- Sooner Sports Properties and the University of Oklahoma have announced a three-year contract with Oklahoma City television station KAUT UPN 43 to be the a Sooner Sports Network affiliate for OU sports programming.

 

KAUT UPN 43 will now be the home of the weekly Sooner Football 2004, Sooner Basketball 2005, Sooner Women's Basketball with Sherri Coale shows, and select live telecasts of Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Bedlam Series events. Sooner Football 2004 and Sooner Basketball 2005 will air on Sundays at 8:00 p.m., while Sooner Women's Basketball will air Saturday's at 10:30 a.m.

 

“We are very proud to bring the excitement of OU sports programming to our viewers,” said Sue Stuecheli, Vice President and General Manager of KAUT UPN 43

 

KWTV Channel 9 will remain the home of Inside Sooner Football with Bob Stoops and Inside Sooner Basketball with Kelvin Sampson on Saturday mornings, as well as select Sooner Sports Network produced men's basketball games.

 

Sooner Sports Properties, a joint venture with Learfield Communications, Renda Broadcasting (KRXO 107.7 FM and KOMA 1520 AM) and Griffin Communications (KWTV Channel 9), is the official multi-media rights holder for the University of Oklahoma athletics.

 

KAUT UPN 43 is owned and operated by the Viacom Television Stations Group.
