HOT SPRINGS, Va. -- The University of Oklahoma men's golf  team will compete in the 2004 NCAA Championships, June 1-4, in Hot Springs, Va. The tournament will be held at the Homestead Resort's Cascasdes Golf Course (par 70,  6,679 yards) and will be hosted by Virginia Tech.

Oklahoma advanced to the NCAA Championship after placing third in the Central Regional held in West Lafayette, Ind. The Sooners' third-round best of 297 moved them up three spots in the final round. The top-10 teams from the East, Central and West Regionals plus two individual competitors from each regional advanced to the NCAA Championship. Four of the top five finishers in the Central Regional were Big 12 schools. 

Oklahoma was led by Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Anthony Kim, who recorded a fifth place finish, his fifth top five finish of the spring. Senior Martin Flores carded a second-round 69 (-3)  and tied for 19th place. All-Big 12 Conference team member Carlos Del Moral tied for 42nd place after posting a final-round 71 (-1).
 
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 72 Holes. 18-holes will be played each day, Tuesday through Friday.
