No. 22 OU Sweeps Missouri in Dramatic Fashion

UCLA, Florida and Central Connecticut Join OU in Regional

NORMAN, Okla. -- UCLA, Florida and Central Connecticut State are the three teams that have been assigned to the Oklahoma City regional in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.  
 
Action begins Friday at the SBC Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City. The Sooners will play UCLA in the first round at 7 p.m. Florida and Central Connecticut State collide in the other opening round matchup earlier in the day at 3 p.m.

Saturday's Game Three matchup (10 a.m.) will pit the losers of Friday's contests against each other, while the 1 p.m. game (Game Four) will feature the winners of the first two games.  The winner of Game Three and the loser of Game Four will square off at 4 p.m. in the final session of the day (Game Five).

Sunday's contests are scheduled times for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. (if necessary).

Each game of the tournament will begin 50 minutes following the completion of the previous contest, however a game will not start before its originally scheduled start time.

The Sooners are 37-22 and have reached the NCAA Tournament for the 28th time.  OU is 53-49 all-time in the tournament and won national championships in 1951 and 1994.

UCLA is 33-27 on the season and is 27-23 in 11 previous appearances.  Florida is in the tournament for the 22nd time with an all-time mark of 53-44.  Central Connecuticut State, champion of the Northeast Conference, is making its third appearance and has an all-time mark of 0-4.

Regional tickets went on sale Monday, May 31, at 10 a.m.  Tickets can be purchased at the Oklahoma Redhawks Box Office at SBC Bricktown Ballpark or by calling (405) 218-1000.  Redhawks Box Office hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m..  Everyone attending the Regional must have a ticket.
