OU Men's Golf Posts Another Top-Five Finish

The Oklahoma men's golf team finished the Hall of Fame Inviational in fourth place at the Redstone Golf Club, near Houston, Texas. Four Oklahoma golfers claimed spots among the top-25 performers. The Sooners finished the tournament with a total of 854 (-10). The only teams to finish ahead of Oklahoma were each ranked in the top-10 in the country (GolfStat). The 18-team field included 10 teams ranked in the top-25.
Freshman Carlos Del Moral (Valencia, Spain) recorded a 68 (-4) in the final round to claim his first top-5 finish of his career with a score of 210 (-6). Del Moral came to Oklahoma during the spring and has placed in the top-20 in three of the four spring tournaments.
Senior Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) and freshman Anthony Kim (La Quinta, Calif.) both tied for 12th place with a three-day total of 214 (-2). Flores recorded a season-low 68 in the second round and finished with a final round 74. Kim carded a 71 in the first and second round and posted 72 on the final day. Senior Doug Manor (Garland, Texas) recorded his best showing of the spring season and tied for 25th after shooting a final-round 72. Houston native Craig Lurie had a 10-stroke improvement from his second round to finish the tournamnet tied for 64th.
Oklahoma returns to action April 10-11 at the Boilermaker Invitational in West LaFayette, Ind.
