The University of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded first-round action tied for sixth place Friday at the Hall of Fame Invitational near Houston, Texas. The Sooners finished the day with a team score of 286 (-2) at the Redstone Golf Club (par-72, 7,352-yards). Oklahoma's competitors included an 18-team field with five teams ranked in the top-10 (GolfStat) in the country.

Oklahoma was led by senior Doug Manor (Garland, Texas) who shot an opening round 70 (-2) and is tied for ninth. One shot behind Manor is freshman Anthony Kim (La Quinta, Calif.) who carded a 71 (-1) and is tied for 16th after 18 holes.

Senior Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) finished the day with an even-par 72 and is tied for 27th place. Freshman Carlos Del Moral (Valencia, Spain) and Houston native Craig Lurie are both tied for 36th place after shooting a 73 (+1) in the first round.

The Sooners begin second round action on Saturday and conclude the tournament with 18-holes on Sunday. Live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.
