 The University of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded the first day of action at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas, tied for sixth place on Monday. The Sooners finished the day with a team score 580 of (+4) after 36 holes. Oklahoma is competing against a 15-team field with seven ranked teams in the top-25 (GolfStat) at the Austin Country Club (par-72, 6,906-yards).

OU was led again by two outstanding true freshmen, Anthony Kim (La Quinta, Calif.) and Carlos Del Moral (Valencia, Spain). Kim shot a two-round total of 137 (-7) to finish the day tied for third. Del Moral carded a 68 in the first-round to finish with a two-round total of 144 (E) and is tied for 24th.

Senior Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) is tied for 39th after shooting an opening round 71. Junior Craig Lurie (Houston, Texas), in his second tournament as a Sooner, carded a two-round total of 151 (+7). Rounding out the scoring for Oklahoma is senior Blake Martin (Stigler, Oklahoma) who is tied for 77th place.

Three teams did not complete their second round action due to darkness. Texas A&M, Pepperdine and Virginia will conclude their second round before third round play begins on Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.
