Norman, Okla. --- Oklahoma senior Dionnah Jackson returned to St. Louis, Mo., Monday night (Dec. 6) to become the first athlete in Parkway West High School history to have her jersey (No. 35) retired.
“This is a tremendous honor but what makes it even more special is that I'm the first,” said Jackson. “I'm excited to go back to my high school and see everyone. I have always been surrounded by great people and great coaches who have helped me become a better person on and off the basketball court.”

While a member of the Parkway West girls basketball team, she became the school's all-time steals and assists leader. Jackson was named the Missouri Player of the Year and West County Player of the Year as well as Missouri-Shawnee Gateway Classic Female MVP in 2001. She averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.4 steals per game as a senior. Jackson concluded her high school career as a two-time All-State, all-metro, all-conference and all-district selection (2000, 2001) and was a two-time St. Louis American Fab Five first team honoree. She helped produce a four-year high school record of 102-12.
In addition to her parents (Frank Blanchard and Barbara Jackson) and older sisters (LaTonya Jackson and Laquettia Blanchard), the Oklahoma women's basketball coaching staff (Sherri Coale, Jan Ross, Stacy Hansmeyer and Chad Thrailkill) will be in attendance.
