OU Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At Inverness Intercollegiate

The University of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded final round action, Saturday, at the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational in Toledo, Ohio finishing in fourth place. The 15-team field included seven ranked teams in the top-25, with the Sooners ranked no. 23. Oklahoma finished with a third round 298 for a two-day total of 904 (+52) after 54 holes.
OU was led by senior Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) who fired a 72 in the final round to finish the tournament with a total score of 220 (+7). Sophomore Jim Renner (Plainville, Mass.), who led the Sooners in the Ridges Intercollegiate Tournament last weekend, carded a 70 in the final round for total score of 224 (+11).
Four shots behind Renner was Freshman Anthony Kim (Studio City, Calif.), who tied for 27th place by recording a total score of 228 (+15) for the tournament. True Freshman, Daniel Mitchell (Oklahoma City, Okla.) made his first collegiate start this weekend, finished in 48th place with a total score of 233 (+20). Sophomore Brodie Flanders (Vancouver, British Columbia) posted a total score of 242 (+29) for the tournament.
The Sooners, ranked 23rd nationally in the Precept Division I Coaches Poll, continue their fall schedule at the Carpet Capital Collegiate at The Farm Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia on Oct 3rd.
