The 24th-ranked Sooners take their overall record to 14-8.
Oklahoma got its eighth straight win over Oklahoma State and its fifth in a row over the Cowgirls in Norman.
OU equaled its second-best scoring output of the season and its best since also scoring 87 on Dec. 28 against Southeast Missouri State. The season high was 90 against Fordham on Nov. 29.
It marked the second straight game in which OU scored 87 vs. OSU. The Soonres defeated the Cowgirls 87-56 in the 2002 Big 12 Tournament.
OU's 53.6 field goal percentage in the first half was the team's third best for the season. The Sooners shot better against Southeast Missouri State (62.1%) and North Carolina (54.2%) in the first 20 minutes.
Sophomore Dionnah Jackson dished out nine assists.
OU guards had only eight of the team's 14 turnovers.
Oklahoma's bench outscored the OSU bench, 36-14.
Junior Maria Villarroel blocked a career-high three shots and had four assists against the Cowgirls. In 31 minutes, she had no turnovers.
Villarroel had five offensive rebounds (tops in the game) and is now just one shy of 50 for the season.
Today's attendance of 6,642 is the second largest of the season. The largest crowd was 9,139 against Kansas State.
Senior Theresa Schuknecht scored a career-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the floor and 8-of-9 from the foul line. Her previous best was 27 points established against Tennessee in the first game of the season.
Oklahoma had its third best performance of the season from the field, hitting 53.3 percent (32-of-60). OU shot 54.9 percent against Texas A&M and 54.1 percent against Fordham.
Oklahoma also had its second best performance from free throw line, nailing 18-of-22 foul shots for 81.8 percent. OU shot 84.2 percent on the free throw line against Kansas.
