Bad Weather Forces Baseball Series Opener Cancellation

NORMAN, Okla. - The poor weather conditions in the Norman area this weekend have finally put an end to the Oklahoma baseball team's opening weekend series with Southeast Missouri State. The program made the announcement to cancel the entire three-game set Friday afternoon and has made tentative plans to reschedule the series later in the season. It marks the first time in head coach Larry Cochell's tenure at OU that the Sooners have had to cancel their first series of the season.
Barring better weather, Oklahoma looks to open the season next weekend at home against Texas-San Antonio. The three-game series begins on Friday at 3 p.m. followed by games on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. For ticket information, please contact the OU Athletic Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424.
