The University of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded its fall season with an 11th place finish, following the final round of competition in The Prestige at PGA West, on Tuesday. The Sooners recorded a final-round 300 for a total of 896 (+32) at the par-72, 6,841-yards La Quinta Resort Mountain Course in La Quinta, Calif.
OU was led by senior Blake Martin (Stigler, Okla.) and true freshman Anthony Kim (La Quinta, Calif.) who tied for 33rd place. Martin finished with a final-round 71 to bring his three-day total to 222 (+6). Starting in only his third tournament, Kim recorded a two-over in his final-day of action.
Sophomore Brodie Flander (Vancouver, British Columbia) carded his best showing of the fall season by recording a three-day total of 227 (+11). Senior Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) shot a three-over in his final-round and tied for 55th place. Junior Brad Purcell (Norman, Okla.) making his first start of the season, rounded out the scoring for OU with a 252 (+36).
The Sooners first tournament of the spring season is Feb. 11-13, at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate, in Hilo, Hawaii.
