Wrestlers To Battle For Position At Red/White Classic

Members of the Oklahoma wrestling team will compete for lineup position at the Red/White Classic on Saturday at the Howard McCasland Field House. It will begin 15 minutes after the completion of the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State football game, which begins at 2:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The Red/White Classic is the Sooners' annual intrasquad scrimmage which helps determine starting positions for the upcoming season. Matches at 157 and 197 pounds will not be included.

The Sooners begin regular-season action November 15 when they travel to Brockport, N.Y., for the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic. Oklahoma opens its home schedule November 20 with a dual against Missouri Valley at 7 p.m. at the field house.

133 pounds:
Daniel Caruthers vs. Brandon Hardy

141 pounds:
Shane Kidd vs. Brandon Palmer or Tyler Howle

149 pounds:
Matt Grice vs. Jeff Ecklof

165 pounds:
Rafael Maturino vs. Randy Sulaver or Brad Martens

174 pounds:
E.K. Waldhaus vs. Randy Sulaver or Brad Martens

184 pounds:
Justin Dyer vs. Philip Kownslar

Heavyweight:
Leonce Crump vs. Jacob Hager

125 pounds:
Sam Hazewinkel vs. Joe Comparin
