Four OU Tennis Players Named To Preseason All-Big 12 Teams

NORMAN, Okla. - Four Oklahoma tennis players were named to the the 2003 Preseason All-Big 12 Team the conference office announced today. Senior Chris Mitchell, junior Anda Perianu, sophomore Heather Saluri and freshman Tommy Garrison were selected.

Perianu was one of 12 players named to the singles team and was also named to the women's doubles team along with Saluri. Perianu was also named the 2002 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and is coming off a fall season where she finished 5-2 in singles. She teamed with Saluri last fall and posted a record of 5-1 in doubles.

Mitchell and Garrison were among six teams named to the men's doubles team. The duo combined for a 7-2 record last fall.
