No. 6 Wrestling Team Hosts Trio of Opponents

NORMAN, Okla. - The sixth-ranked University of Oklahoma wrestling team (9-4) will host teams Oregon State, Oregon and Missouri this weekend. Oklahoma will take on Oregon State (7-5) at noon on Friday at Harrah High School, Oregon (5-4) at 7 p.m. on Friday in the Howard McCasland Field House and 18th-ranked Missouri (9-5) at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Howard McCasland Field House. The Sooners lead the all-time series against Oregon State (12-4), Oregon (10-1) and Missouri (38-2).

Oklahoma will enter this weekend with six wrestlers ranked in the top 20, after advancing to the finals of the National Duals. The Sooners will feature third-ranked wrestlers Robbie Waller (174 pounds) and Josh Lambrecht (184 pounds). Waller will face Oregon's only ranked wrestler, No. 7 Shane Webster, in the 174 pound contest. Oklahoma's dual against Oregon could also pit former Broken Arrow High School teammates Rafael Maturino and Oregon's Branson Phillips against each other at 157 pounds. Oregon State also brings one ranked wrestler, heavyweight Andy Bowlby, who will grapple either Jake Hager or Joel Tapler of Oklahoma.

Oklahoma then faces No. 21 Missouri, who sports seven ranked wrestlers. They include No. 12 J. P. Reese (141 pounds), No. 12 Jeremy Spates (149 pounds), No. 11 Kenny Burleson (157 pounds), No. 9 Tyron Woodley (165 pounds), No. 6 Scott Barker (184 pounds), No. 18 Dante Stone (197 pounds) and No. 15 Kevin Herron (heavyweight).
