LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Oklahoma baseball team will play No. 10 Wichita State on Monday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at WSU's Eck Stadium. It had not been decided if the Sooners and Shockers would play until Wednesday evening, when rain forced the cancellation of Wichita State's scheduled game against Kansas State.
All season, Oklahoma had listed the May 13 contest against Wichita State as tentative and dependent on both teams needing a game to play the NCAA-maximum 56 games. Now that both the Sooners (29-20, 11-10 Big 12) and the Shockers need another game, the meeting will take place. Oklahoma battles Kansas in a three-game series this weekend in Lawrence, and will travel to Wichita upon the completion of Sunday's 1 p.m. contest.
