Oklahoma has now won eight straight over Texas, including all three meetings this season. OU holds an 8-2 advantage in neutral site.

Texas' 23 halftime points was a season low for the first half. UT's 38-23 halftime deficit is its largest of the season. Texas scored a season-low 51 points. Texas' previous low was 61at Utah Dec. 29, 2001.

Today's game is a rematch of the 2001 Big 12 Tournament title game, which OU won 54-45. In those two games, Texas was 31-of-90 (.344) from the field. Oklahoma has knocked Texas out of the last three Big 12 Tournaments and four of the last five.

Border War - today's three technical fouls in the UT-OU game are the second-most in a Big 12 Tournament single game (four-twice).

Today's game marks only the third time this season the Longhorns have had only two players score in double players. T.J. Ford led UT with 18 points, while Deginald Erskin had 10.

Hollis Price opened the game 0-of-5 from the field before hitting his first field goal, a three-pointer, with 8:08 remaining in the first half. At that point in the game, Price was 1-of-4 from three-point range, while the rest of the Sooners were 6-of-6 (Ere 3-of-3, White 1-of-1 and Johnston 1-of-1).

Hollis Price, who was held to seven points today, had averaged 19.5 ppg in the two previous meetings with Texas this season.

With his 10 points in the first half, OU's Jason Detrick has scored in double figures in 17 games, including seven of his last 11. Detrick finished with 15 points. Detrick's three three-pointers tied his career high, which he's accomplished three times.

With his 11 points in the first half, Oklahoma's Ebi Ere has recorded double digits in scoring six of his last seven games. Ere finished with 15 points.

With 16 points and 15 rebounds vs. Texas, Aaron McGhee recorded the 12th double-double of his career. McGhee has led the Sooners in rebounding 11 of the last 13 contests. McGhee's 15 rebounds is the most by a Sooner team in a Big 12 Tournament game. His 31 rebounds - he had 16 vs. Kansas State on Friday - in the 2002 Big 12 Tournament play ties him with KU's Eric Chenowith for fourth on the all-time tourney rebound chart.

Texas' T.J. Ford's two assists ties his career individual low.

Brandon Mouton, UT's leading scorer at 14.8 ppg entering today's game, and James Thomas combined for 30 points in Texas' win over Missouri. They combined for just two points today. Mouton was held to a season-low one point today.
