1. Who was your favorite Major League team growing up? Why?
I was always a Texas Rangers baseball fan growing up. When you are from Texas, you really have no other choice but to root for the Rangers.
2. What is your fondest memory from playing baseball?
I will never forget playing in the Dixie League World Series in Troy, Alabama. I was fourteen years old and it was the experience of a lifetime.
3. What are your baseball superstitions?
I am very superstitious about always turning my bat so that when I get a hit, the logo of the bat will always hit the ball.
4. If you could go to dinner with anyone, who would it be?
I would love the opportunity to go to dinner with an all-time baseball great, Ted Williams. I would want to get advice from him on baseball and life.
5. Who is your favorite non-baseball professional sports team?
Football is a great sport and I am a big Dallas Cowboys fan. As a born and raised Texan, they have always been one of my favorites.
6. For you, what is "must-see TV?"
Whenever I have time to watch TV, I never miss Sportscenter. This is the ultimate sports show for athletes.
7. Why do you wear the jersey number you do?
I really wanted to wear number nine, but it was taken, so I multiplied nine times two and came up with the number I wear now, 18.
8. What's the best piece of advice that you ever received? Who was it from?
My dad always tried to calm my nerves and told me, "Don't try to do too much, just see the ball and hit it." I think of his advice every time I step to the plate.
9. Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I really plan on playing professional baseball, but if that does not work out then I know I will be a successful businessman.
10. What is your dream car?
My dream car would be a Chevrolet ZMI and I would cruise all over town in it!
