  • Oklahoma earned its fifth straight 20-win season today.
  • Aaron McGhee had a game-high 22 points today and was OU's leading scorer for the fourth straight game (he had three 20-point outings over the first 20 games). He is averaging 23.3 points over the last four games.
  • Jason Detrick made his first start since Jan. 7 against Connecticut and just his fourth of the season. He responded with a career-high 21 points and tied a career best with three treys. He has scored at least 15 points three times in the last four games. Detrick was 4-for-4 from the foul line and has made 26 of his last 29 free throws.
  • Junior center Jozsef Szendrei made his second start of the season today (first since the season opener against Central Connecticut) and contributed two points and a game-high-tying eight rebounds in 19 minutes. He has 19 boards over the last two games for an average of 9.5.
  • Ebi Ere came off the bench for the first time this season and produced 13 points and eight rebounds. The 13-point effort snapped a three-game swing in which he failed to reach double digits in scoring. It marked the 18th double-digit performance by a Sooner reserve this season. His eight boards were his most over the last seven games.
  • Oklahoma picked up its 20th straight home victory and its third consecutive win over Kansas State. The Wildcats remained winless on the road this season (0-8).
  • OU, which entered the game shooting .358 from three-point range, missed its first six attempts outside the three-point arc, then made five of its last seven over the remainder of the first half.
  • Today marked only the second time during this Big 12 season that an OU opponent failed to register a blocked shot. The other goose egg was posted by Oklahoma State in Norman.
  • OU had more offensive rebounds today (17) than its opponent (9) for the 16th time in 24 games.
  • The Sooners committed just nine turnovers today, their second fewest in a game this year.
  • Hollis Price scored just seven points, but he had a team-high five assists. It marked the first time in nine games that Quannas White did not pace the squad in assists. White had four today.
