Senior John Kidwell Finishes Tied for 12th at All-America Classic

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma senior golfer John Kidwell finished tied for 12th place at the Western Refining All-America Golf Classic, in El Paso, Texas, today. The 28th annual tournament was held at the El Paso Country Club (6,781 yards, par 71) and was hosted by the Sun Bowl Association. The field included 24 college All-Americans from around the country.
Kidwell shot an opening-round 76 and a second-round 73 on Monday, putting him 10 shots behind the tournament leader heading into today's final round. Today, the senior from Dallas, Texas, fired a final-round 72, finishing with a two-day total of 221 (+8). Adam Rubinson of Texas Christian was the tournament medalist with a 54-hole total of 208 (-5).
The Sooners open their spring season at the Taylor Made Waikoloa Classic in Waikoloa, Hawaii, on Feb. 12-14.
