Norman, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma wrestling team will travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Missouri Open on Nov. 24. The Sooners will face competition from No. 5/6 Michigan, No.8/12 Illinois and tournament host No.11/10 Missouri. OU will be among 25 teams slated to compete in the tournament.
Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic champions Witt Durden (133 pounds), Nate Parker (141 pounds), E.K. Waldhaus (174 pounds), Josh Lambrecht (184 pounds) and Tom Grossman (197 pounds) will compete for OU. No. 2/4 Robbie Waller, a returning All-American that competed at 165 pound last season, will compete for the first time at 174 pounds.
Oklahoma boasts eight wrestlers ranked in the top 20 by either Amateur Wrestling News or Intermat. They include top-ranked senior Josh Lambrecht (184 pounds), second-ranked seniors Nate Parker (141 pounds) and Witt Durden (133 pounds) and fourth-ranked junior Leonce Crump (heavyweight).
