NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma baseball team's final two weeks of fall workouts were halted due to poor weather conditions earlier last week. Inclement weather last week with the continuing threat of it this week prompted head coach Larry Cochell to end team practices. The decision will subsequently cancel the Red-White split squad series (originally scheduled to be held this week) that annually concludes the fall season. OU will add the missed practice time to the beginning of their spring workouts before the season opens at home on Feb. 7 against Southeast Missouri State.
The Sooners completed two and a half weeks of their planned four week team practice schedule before making their final decision. Players will continue to participate in individual workouts for the next several weeks instead.
