	Junior Josh Lambrecht tallied a fall against N.C. State to help the Sooners defeat the Wolfpack and Bacone on Thursday.

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma wrestling team showed little rust from nearly a month layoff by rolling past Bacone (42-6) and North Carolina State (40-7) on Thursday. OU, ranked third in the nation, improved to 5-1 in dual meet competition this season in its first action since December 9.

In its first match of the day against Bacone (1-1), held at Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., the Sooners were aided by three pins (courtesy of NR/No. 9 Doug Cieleski, Josh Ferguson and Bo Maynes) and three forfeits en route to the 36-point victory. Daniel Caruthers, Wes Roberts and Josh Ferguson picked up their first victories of the year as well for Oklahoma.

The Sooners also tallied three forfeit victories en route to a win over N.C. State (4-1) later in the evening at the Howard McCasland Fieldhouse in front of 366 fans. However, OU did show its dominance during the match with two falls (No. 2/2 Witt Durden and No. 1/2 Josh Lambrecht) and a major decision (No. 3/6 Matt Ridings). Ridings remained the lone Sooner starter without a defeat this season.

OU will next compete in the Lone Star Duals on Saturday in South Grand Prairie, Texas. The Sooners will face Harvard (10:15 a.m.), Navy (1:30 p.m.), Princeton (2:45 p.m.) and Cornell (7:30 p.m.).
