  • Fifth-ranked Oklahoma improved to 13-1 (2-0 Big 12) with the 98-72 victory, while Texas Tech fell to 13-2 (2-1 Big 12).
  • OU pushed its winning streak to 12 games, the longest since winning 12 games in a row to start the 1989-90 season. OU has also won 16 games in a row inside Lloyd Noble Center.
  • Oklahoma now leads the all-time series with Texas Tech 17-11 and has won seven of the last eight meetings. Against teams from the state of Texas, OU is 55-8 under head coach Kelvin Sampson.
  • Sampson notched his first ever win over Bob Knight with today's victory. He is now 1-3 vs. Knight.
  • Under Sampson, OU is now 94-10 when scoring 80-or-more points in a game.
  • Coming into today's game, OU ranked third in the nation in scoring margin (+21.4) and kept up that trend, winning by 26 points today.
  • Ebi Ere scored 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting in today's game, which was televised by ESPN Plus. In OU's five games this season televised by ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Plus, Ebi Ere has averaged 22.6 points and 7.2 rebounds. He has earned the nickname "ESPN" from his teammates for his efforts on television.
  • Ere's 20 first-half points were the most scored by a Sooner in a half this season. The last time a Sooner scored 20 points in a half occurred last season, when both Aaron McGhee (vs. Montana State, Nov. 24) and J.R. Raymond (vs. Nebraska, Jan. 27) accomplished the feat.
  • Hollis Price scored 27 points in today's game on 9-for-13 shooting, giving him his fourth game of the season with 20 or more points.
  • To open the game, Price scored 12 of OU's first 16 points.
  • Price was 6-for-7 from three-point range, tying his career high for three pointers made in a game. He also made six treys against Central Connecticut in the season opener this year. Price has drained a team-high 33 three-point field goals and is shooting .458 from long range on the year.
  • Today's game was the second this season in which two Sooners scored 20 or more points. Against High Point on Dec. 15, Price hit for 26 while Ere added 21.
  • Aaron McGhee scored 14 points, his 10 time in the last 12 games scoring in double figures.
  • With his 17 points, Jason Detrick scored in double figures for the ninth time this season and for the fourth game in a row.
  • Quannas White had a full day, scoring eight points, dishing out eight assists, grabbing three rebounds and having recording four steals. Both White and Ere had four steals apiece.
  • Today's attendance of 12,654 was the eighth largest ever at the Lloyd Noble Center and the second largest this season (vs. Maryland, 12,715).
  • OU held a 50-28 halftime lead. OU shot an impressive 58.3% from the field (21-for-36) and forced 13 Texas Tech turnovers in the opening stanza, one more than the Red Raiders had been averaging per game coming in. Tech finished with 20 turnovers.
  • Texas Tech's Andy Ellis was held to just eight points, nearly 10 points below his season average of 17.9 ppg.
