OU Wrestling to Host Awards Banquet

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma wrestling team will hold its annual postseason awards banquet on April 29 at 2 p.m. in the Santee Lounge on the west side of Memorial Stadium. To RSVP, contact Shelley Harmon at (405) 325-8361 or sharmon@ou.edu. The cost is $15 per person. Deadline to RSVP is April 20.

This past year, OU placed fourth at the NCAA Championships and finished as the Big 12 runner-up for the second-straight season. Senior Michael Lightner went undefeated to claim his first NCAA title and won his fourth Big 12 championship. He also earned All-America honors for the fourth time. Junior Jared Frayer, sophomores Witt Durden and Josh Lambrecht and redshirt-freshman Leonce Crump also attained All-America status.
