STILLWATER, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team dropped this year's Bedlam match to 19th-ranked Oklahoma State, 7-0, Thursday at the DuBois Tennis Center in Stillwater. The Sooners are now 4-7 on the season and 0-5 in the Big 12 Conference. OSU improves to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Sooner senior Viviana Mracnova defeated OSU's Maria Phillips in the first set, but Phillips rallied to win the remaining two and the No. 1 singles point, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3. Phillips is the highest ranked player Mracnova has faced this spring, coming in at No. 88 in the most recent ITA singles poll. OSU won the five remaining singles positions and all three doubles position for the sweep.
The Sooners return home this weekend to take on Texas Tech on Sunday at Noon. The dual will be played at the Westwood Tennis Center in Norman.
