NORMAN, Okla - Due to inclement weather, the University of Oklahoma women's tennis match with Oklahoma State, originally set for today, has been postponed until Thursday. Bedlam action will begin at 2 p.m. at the DeBois Tennis Center in Stillwater.
Oklahoma enters the dual with a 4-6 overall record and a 0-4 conference mark. The 15th-ranked Cowgirls enter the match with a 12-3 overall record and a 2-1 mark in Big 12 play. OSU won last season's meeting between the two teams, 6-3 in Norman.
The Sooners are led by senior Viviana Mracnova at No. 1 singles. Mracnova owns a 6-3 record on the season and is 2-2 in Big 12 Conference action. Mracnova and sophomore Melissa Mendieta set the pace for OU at No. 1 doubles with an 8-2 record on the season. Senior Stephanie Sajbert and sophomore Annette Bryntesson are 6-3 on the season at No. 2 doubles.
The Sooners close out match play for the week when they host Texas Tech on April 1 at noon. The Red Raiders (6-7 overall, 2-6 Big 12) will play at Oklahoma State on Saturday before making the trip to Norman on Sunday. OU defeated the Red Raiders, 8-1, last season in Lubbock, Texas.
