PLAYER
Sophomore guard Jadrea Seeley
General Comment: "We didn't get off to a good start but we hung in and battle. We stuck together and pulled it out. Defensively, we missed some assignments that probably cost us some points but we stayed foced.
Nerves played a large part of our slow start. It is the NCAA Tournament and there were jitter among our selves. It's better to get them out tonight than later down the line.
Oral Roberts is a very physical team and can shoot the ball extremely well. They (ORU) played very well tonight and did a lot of good things."
Junior guard Stacey Dales
General Comment: "Tonight was a very physical game, probably one of the most physical games we have played in all year but I enjoy that type of atmosphere.
On back injury: "I'll be alright. I just landed hard and bruised it (back)."
On the crowd: "Tonight's crowd was very impressive. They got us through a lot of difficult spells. The crowd won this game for us. They provided us with the extra edge when we needed it.
HEAD COACH SHERRI COALE
"It wasn't pretty but it's a win. It's over and the jitters are out. You're not going to see us shoot like that (two air balls on free throws) on Monday night. It's a win and we'll take it. We had a lot of our players step up tonight. Jadrea and Rosalind played big while Stacey was out with her back."
On the Crowd
"I could really get used to playing in front of crowds like the one tonight. I knew the crowd was waiting for us to do something big in the second half and when Stacey knocked down the three, they really got into it."
On Stacey Dales
"I thought Stacey's play was big-time at the end. You have to giver her lots of credit. She knows that she's our go-to player and she took it upon herself to make the plays. Stacey is here to go the distance."
