With its 68-60 win, Maryland extended its non-conference homecourt winning streak to 77 games, the nation's longest such streak.
OU's loss was just its second in its last seven road games. The Sooners finished with a 5-5 road mark this year and have not had a losing road record over the last four seasons (24-15).
Senior guard Kelley Newton made his first start since Jan. 13 versus Kansas and played 34 minutes, his most since seeing 39 minutes Jan. 30 against SMU. Newton finished with a team-high 14 points on 4-for-8 three-point shooting. He has made at least one trey in eight straight games and has a team-high 61 on the season. He is shooting .462 on the year.
Junior forward Daryan Selvy equaled his fourth-highest scoring output of the season with his 12-point effort. He was 6-for-8 from the field.
Hollis Price started at point guard for the first time in 11 games and finished with nine points and five assists. The sophomore played the entire game and has now led the team in assists in 21 of its 27 contests.
Senior Nolan Johnson broke a two-game string in which he failed to score in double digits. He finished the game with 10 points.
Senior Tim Heskett made his only field goal attempt, a three-pointer. He has made 16 of his last 38 trey attempts (.421).
