Oklahoma vs. Baylor

Norman, Okla. -- Lloyd Noble Center

Oklahoma Head Coach Kelvin Sampson

On the Sooners' record and the game:
"What impresses me the most is that we're 9-4 in this league. I'm very impressed with Dave Bliss and the job that he has done this year. We prepared for this game like we were playing a great team. Terry Black is one of the most exciting players in the country and they have good inside play as well. We shot the ball very well today and when you shoot the basketball as we did today, it makes things a lot easier for our team. It was good to see us rebound from the loss at OSU. I think that we're progressing as a team and this win was important because we have several tough road games coming up."

On sophomore guard Hollis Price and junior guard J.R. Raymond:
"Hollis was really explosive for us today which was good to see. He has been battling some injuries lately so it was good to see him play well. J.R. did an outstanding job today, especially coming off the OSU game. I think that J.R. took a little more blame for the loss at OSU than he should have."

On the next game at Missouri:
"This will be the third consecutive time that we'll play a team that hasn't lost at home in our conference. We were able to break Texas' streak and we lost at OSU, so we've go to find a way to win. They're a good team and it will be a tough game to win. I think that the experience that we've gained from our road games will help us. We'll have to be tough both mentally and physically if we want to win."

Junior Guard J.R. Raymond

"It's nice to bounce back after the loss on Wednesday. I thought the team was very unselfish today, but, on defense, we let up a bit in the second half. Today, I ran the team the way a point guard should. I was able to find the right people in the right places at the right time."

Junior Forward Aaron McGee

"It was such a relief to get a win today after the embarrassment on Wednesday. We wanted to prove that we are as good as our ranking. I just hope this carries over to Big Monday (against Missouri)."
