Sooners Stop Louisiana Tech In Overtime, 71-67

    NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Ebi Ere and Quannas White each scored five points in overtime Saturday as Oklahoma held off Louisiana Tech 71-67.

    The Sooners (5-1) led by as many as 10 in the second half before Louisiana Tech (4-2) rallied behind the 3-point shooting of Gerrod Henderson.

    Henderson, who finished with 21 points, made a 3-pointer to tie the score at 56 with 2:35 left in regulation.

    Hollis Price, who led all scorers with 25 points, made two free throws with 45 seconds remaining to give Oklahoma a 60-57 lead. But Henderson sank his fifth 3 with 6.2 seconds left to force overtime.

    Louisiana Tech led twice in overtime, the second time 66-65 on two free throws by Henderson with 2:21 left.

    A jumper by Ere with just over two minutes remaining gave the Sooners the lead for good, 67-66. Tech missed twice on its next possession and Ere followed with a free throw with 1:06 to play.

    The Bulldogs got within 68-67 on a free throw by Lavelle Felton with 32.2 seconds left, then White sank two from the line and Aaron McGhee made another free throw to seal the victory.
