Norman, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma Head Women's Basketball Coach Sherri Coale invites you to join her in a free clinic at center court in the Crossroads Mall on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to noon, just prior to the OU-Tulsa football game in Norman at 2 p.m. Coale and staff will host the clinic and encourages participants to take part in a variety of basketball drills. She will also show OU's 2001 NCAA Sweet 16 highlight video as well as answer any basketball related questions.

Coale, who's in her sixth year with OU, has the Sooners ranked as high as No. 1 in the preseason and picked to defend their 2000 and 2001 Big 12 titles, according to the 2001 Big 12 Coaches and Media Preseason Polls. Oklahoma finished last year with a school-best 28-6 overall record and first-place 15-1 conference mark. The Sooners repeated their NCAA Sweet 16 appearance for second year and closed out the campaign ranked seventh in the country.

Oklahoma concludes its exhibition action on Tuesday, Nov. 6, against Southwestern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. before opening the 2001 season against Purdue, last year's national runner-up. The Sooners are one of four teams participating in the State Farm's Tip-Off Classic in Durham, N.C., on Nov. 11.
