Men's Tennis Sends Two On To Saturday Competition

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team won two singles matches to send juniors Chris Mitchell and Tobias Kronlein into second round play on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Mitchell defeated Sean Monk of Tulsa (5-7, 6-3, 6-2) in the main draw while Kronlein lost his first match to Stefan Hirn of Indiana State (6-4, 7-5) but won his back draw match by default to move into second round play.

The Sooners dropped both doubles matches to Colorado (9-8) and Southwest Missouri State (8-4).

Mitchell and Kronlein now prepare for Saturday's competition, which begins at 10 a.m. in Wichita, Kan.
