    NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma Stacey Dales (Brockville, Ontario) will be a guest feature on ESPN.com Women's Hoops Spotlight, a weekly half-hour chat featuring the nation's top women's basketball players.

    Dales, a junior, will address basketball fans across the world on Tuesday, Jan. 23, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Central Time. For those interested in following the live interview with Dales or interested in submitting questions, go to ESPN.com's Chat page.

    Dales was recently named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week for her performances against No. 14 Texas and No. 23 Baylor. She averaged 20.5 points, 8.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds between those two teams. She also shot 50 percent from the field, hitting 14-of-28 attempted shots, and nailed 78.6 percent of her free throw attempts (11-of-14).

    For the season, the 6-1 point guard leads the Sooners in assists with 7.6 and scoring with 16.5 points per game, ranking first and sixth in the Big 12 Conference, respectively. She also ranks second on the team in rebounds (4.5) and steals (3.4) per game. The preseason All-Big 12 selection and Conseco Nancy Lieberman-Cline Step Up Award candidate is ranked fifth in the nation in assists and 17th in steals per game.

    Dales, who was selected as one of the top-five point guards in the nation by ESPN play-by-play announcer Beth Mowins, has scored in double digits and has dished out five-or-more assists in 14-of-16 games this year. She produced her first double-double of the season when she scored 14 points and distributed a career-high 14 assists against SMU on Dec. 9, in Norman. Dales currently ranks second among OU's all-time greats in assists and hold the Big 12 Conference record for most assists per game.

    Dales became the 16th player in Oklahoma women's basketball history to score 1,000-points last week.She surpassed this milestone by matching a career-high 28-points in OU's 90-87 victory at Baylor on Jan. 13. She scored her 1,000th point on a jumper with eight second to play in the opening half. The Canadian has scored 264 points this season, pushing her career total to 1,030.

    Oklahoma is 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12 Conference heading into this weekend's non-conference game against North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.

    The 21-year old spent her summer as a member and starter on the 2000 Canadian National Team that competed in the Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Dales averaged 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31 minutes per game during the Olympic Games.
