Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the Sooners' win over No, 14 Texas:
"Our second half effort was the difference in the game. We came out of the locker room and established the type of intensity that was necessary to beat this team. We started the game with that and then went flat for a little while. I'm really proud of the way our team responded."

On OU's surge in the second half:
"I thought our defense was solid in the second half, but more than anything our offense was real strong and sure with the ball. I think the flat period in the first half was mainly a result of turning over the ball and being soft. They got really physical. We were just too passive early on. Once we started attacking the pressure, going to our post, using our dribble penetration, being strong, exaggerating triple threat, we alleviated the quick baskets."

On Oklahoma's outstanding post play:
"They probably don't get enough credit. When people talk about Oklahoma, they talk primarily about Stacey (Dales) and LaNeishea (Caufield). I think the strength of our team is that we can score in so many ways. In Saturday's game Sunny (Hardeman) had 20 and tonight Jen (Cunningham) had 18. I just think we have an awful lot of weapons. It's like a puzzle when you have so many pieces. We've known all along that we've had all these pieces and now they're starting to fit together."

Junior Guard Stacey Dales
On her individual overall performance:
"I thought I overpassed a bit based on the performance of our front court players. I was able to penetrate into the middle and pass from there."

On halftime and losing a big second half lead:
"It's all a matter of gaining an aggressive demeanor and maintaining it. Also, it's a game of momentum changes. At halftime, we wanted to focus on defense as the key to shifting the momentum and I think it worked effectively at the beginning of the second half."

The feeling of beating Texas:
"When you're playing a Big 12 conference game, it doesn't really matter who you're playing."

Sophomore Forward Caton Hill
"It was frustrating to see players get passive, especially when you're sitting on the bench. The key is for the team to stay together. The coaches express consistency and aggressiveness, even when you're killing them."

Texas Head Coach Jody Conradt
"We had our moments but for the most part I can sum it up as out hustled and out muscled. We had to many second opportunities that didn't work. Oklahoma has a lot of weapons and the ways to make them hurt. We have to play 40 minutes of ball. Playing 30 minutes like we did won't get us anywhere against a good team. Oklahoma has a way of exploiting weaknesses. They are a team that will bounce back when they have to. We turned the ball over to much and let them be opportunistic with their defense."

On Oklahoma's ranking:
"We respect Oklahoma and everyone else in the Big 12 Conference. Rankings mean nothing right now. We are battling for our lives in a very strong conference. Oklahoma has very good players. Dales is one of the best players in the country. We let Caufield have her way with stealing the ball tonight. OU can compete in this conference and contend in the NCAA.
