Sooner Media Guide Places Fourth Nationally

NORMAN, Okla. - The 1999-2000 University of Oklahoma wrestling media guide finished fourth in the annual College Sports Information Directors of America media guide contest. The University of Iowa finished first followed by Nebraska and Michigan. Named on the award are Dustin Roberts, a student assistant in the OU Athletic Media Relations, and Debbie Copp, coordinator of publications. It will be presented at the annual CoSIDA Convention in St. Louis, Mo., later this month.

OU's book earned near perfect scores in the team information, season review, program history and editorial categories.

This marks the second national award for the Sooners this year. Earlier, the Sooners' bowl guide was named best in the nation. Roberts, Copp and Mike Prusinski, director of athletic media relations, earned that award.
