OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.-- Texas A&M used a seven-run seventh inning to knock off top-seeded Oklahoma, 9-6, in the Big 12 Softball Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Aggies' victory broke OU's 11-game winning streak.

Trailing 3-2 entering the final frame, the fourth-seeded Aggies plated seven players and all runs were unearned. Angie Long produced an RBI-single, Selena Collins knocked in a pair of runs with a single and Tiffany Esters ripped a two-run double to make the score 7-3. Then Kelly Ferguson blasted a two-run homer to left field to end A&M's onslaught.

The Sooners, who had battled back from an early 2-0 deficit, attempted a comeback of their own in their last at-bat as Jennifer Stump nailed a solo homer and Big 12 Player of the Year Lisa Carey smacked a two-run shot, both to rightcenter field.

Amy Vining relieved winning pitcher Danielle Lemuth with one out in the seventh and picked up her first save of the year. Lemuth relieved starter Kara Weikel in the fourth inning and moved to 3-0 on the year with the victory.

OU starter Jennifer Stewart threw 6.1 innings and gave up seven runs (just one earned) on four hits and three walks. The nine runs surrendered by Oklahoma were the most of the season. Their previous high was six in a shutout loss at Arizona Feb. 20.

Texas A&M upped its season record to 31-20 and moved to 2-0 in the tournament. The Aggies will play Friday at 8 p.m. at Don Porter ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. Oklahoma suffered just its seventh setback of the season against 56 wins and dropped to 1-1 in the event. OU will face third-seeded Texas Friday at 10 a.m.
