NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma Sooner baseball team will face the Cowboys of Oklahoma State this weekend in the annual Bedlam battle. Friday night's game will be held in Tulsa, at Driller's Stadium with a 7:05 p.m. start time. Saturday and Sunday's matchups will take place at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City with 3 p.m. and 2 p.m. start times, respectively. Saturday's game is scheduled to be televised on FOX Sports Net.

The Sooners sport a 28-15 overall and 11-7 Big 12 record after taking two victories against McNeese State on Tuesday and Wednesday. OU is currently batting .307 as a team as centerfielder Jerome Godsey leads all hitters with a .350 average. Righthander Evan Greusel (2-0), righthander Austin Mix (8-1) and lefthander Michael Bradbury (3-1) are scheduled to start for the Sooners during the series.

Oklahoma State (27-14, 9-9 Big 12) registered its eighth straight victory, a season best, on Wednesday as the Cowboys swept a doubleheader at home against Prairie View A&M. Outfielder Carlos Gautreaux's .408 batting average leads the team and ranks him first in the Big 12 Conference in hitting. Lefthanded starter Josh Merrigan, Friday's probable starter, has posted a 7-1 record with a 2.75 ERA this season. OSU's other two probable starters for the series are lefthander Matt Smith (5-5, 3.61 ERA) and righthander Frank Bludau (4-4, 4.57 ERA).

The Cowboys own the all-time series record by a slim 128-124 margin over the Sooners. OSU also holds the lead in the Bedlam series over the last 10 years with a 29-19 record against OU. The two teams split four games in 1999 with the Sooners picking up bookend wins in the series. Three of the four games were one-run games, while the third game ended as an OSU three-run victory. The series attracted more than 42,235 fans over the four games last year.
