NORMAN, Okla. - The baseball game between the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas at Arlington on March 7 at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman has been rescheduled due to the high probability of inclement weather on Tuesday. The contest has been moved to Wednesday, March 8, and will start at 3 p.m.

The matchup will be the second in a week for the two teams. OU defeated UTA, 11-8, last Tuesday in Arlington. Since then, the Sooners have picked up three more wins in their conference opening series against Kansas State. The wins improved Oklahoma to 10-5 overall and gave them their first 3-0 start in the Big 12. First baseman Rick Park is hitting .500 (7-for-14) over the last four games with six runs scored and five RBIs, including three home runs. Righthander Austin Coose (3-2) leads all starting pitchers with a 1.65 ERA and is tied for the staff lead in wins.

Since falling to the Sooners, UTA dropped two of three at Louisiana-Monroe over the weekend. With the two losses, the Mavericks fell to 10-9 overall and 1-2 in the Southland Conference. Outfielder Kelly Crosby leads the team with a .405 average, including three home runs and 21 RBIs. The sophomore went 3-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI, including a triple, last week against the Sooners. Righthander Whoa Dill, who was the starting pitcher in the game against OU and received a no-decision, is tied for the staff lead in wins with three. The senior posts a 3.82 ERA over eight appearances on the season, including six starts.
