LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Oklahoma baseball team took a 4-3 win in the second game of a doubleheader against the University of Nebraska on Sunday at Buck Beltzer Stadium. The Sooners were run-ruled, 12-0, during the seventh inning of the first game as the Husker victory allowed Nebraska to capture the series with two wins against OU. With the doubleheader split, Oklahoma's record stands at 14-10 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12, while Nebraska moves to 14-7 overall and 5-4 in the league.

Trailing 2-0 in the second game, rightfielder Jeff Bajenaru nailed a three-run home run in the top of the seventh to give the Sooners their first lead of the afternoon. After the Huskers tied the game at three all in the bottom of the eighth inning, shortstop Zach Lekse drove in leftfielder Eliot Joyner with a RBI single to score the winning run for OU. Bajenaru (1-1) then came on in relief of starting pitcher Austin Mix to work the final two innings and pick up the win.

Bajenaru, Lekse, first baseman Rick Park and third baseman Jason Bartlett each collected two hits a piece in the second game to pace the Sooners offensively.

Sooner starting pitcher Austin Coose (3-3) suffered the loss in the first game after allowing all 12 runs on 12 hits through 6.1 innings of work. Bajenaru and Lekse both picked up two more hits in the game to finish the day 4-for-7 and 4-for-8, respectively.
